Bill of Rights topic for St Augustine Tea Party meeting

Historic City News readers are invited to attend and bring a friend when the St Augustine Tea Party holds its next regular meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Inn; located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St. Augustine.

Kenneth F. Wood III, USN (Ret.), a Florida Oathkeeper, has distinguished himself and is the recipient of multiple awards from the Navy and Marine Corps, including 5 Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal for culmination of 20 years of Military Merit.

“You are patriotically invited to attend when Ken Wood presents our program, The Bill of Rights,” Lance Thate told local Historic City News reporters this weekend.

One year after high school graduation, in May of 1993, Wood enlisted in the US Navy as an Aviation Support Equipment Technician First Class (Air Warfare/Surface Warfare Specialist).

He served six years at Naval Stations in Florida and Virginia — eleven years on board Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers, three years in a Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron, and completed seven deployments to the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf. In 2013, Wood retired from Naval Air Station Jacksonville; having last served as a Quality Assurance Inspector.

Wood continues to be an outspoken proponent of Americas’ constitutional, spiritual, and naval heritage. Ken has always enjoyed sharing his faith in God, testimony, and knowledge about our founding documents with sailors, marines, and lovers of liberty who remain dedicated to the principles of freedom and obedience to the US Constitution; which he considers to be the “Supreme Law of the Land”.
