Historic City News readers are invited to join members of the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce and their guests for one of St. Johns County’s largest political events each season, Politics in St Johns.
The candidates will participate in two events this year, one in St. Augustine on Tuesday, July 15th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at the Solomon Calhoun Center, located at 1300 Duval Street in St. Augustine; and the other in Ponte Vedra Beach on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Hilton Garden Inn, located at 45 PGA Tour Boulevard in Ponte Vedra Beach.
“Politics in St. Johns offers citizens the opportunity for voters to meet candidates running for a wide array of public offices,” Chamber spokesperson, Carol Saviak, told Historic City News. “This year’s festive, outdoor event will feature candidate information booths, live music, amazing BBQ and a straw poll vote.”
General Admission to the Politics St. Johns “Hob Nob” & BBQ event on July 15th at the Solomon Calhoun Center in St. Augustine is free of charge, but admission does require registration and an entry ticket. An entry ticket is also required to vote in the straw poll. BBQ & Beverage tickets are also available for $20.00 each and can be purchased online when registering.

All guests who plan to purchase BBQ meal and beverage tickets are asked to pre-purchase these meal tickets online in advance of the event. Guests can pick up their reserved admission tickets in advance at the Chamber of Commerce, located at 1 Riberia Street, St. Augustine beginning on July 9th.
