Davis Shores resident circulating rezoning petition

Rathbone told local reporters that a commercial business in that location will increase auto and pedestrian traffic, loitering, and noise as well as dramatically degrade the surrounding property values and pose public safety risks in her neighborhood.

“The property has been used exclusively as residential and is surrounded by other residential properties,” Rathbone told Historic City News.  “If used commercially, as the current zoning allows, it will not conform to the current use in the community.”

If you are a resident of the City of St Augustine, Rathbone says she hopes your electronic signature on her petition will get the attention of the members of the commission and encourage them to take the steps necessary to preserve the residential makeup of her neighborhood.
