Just before 5:50 p.m. last night, corrections deputies found Andrew Dane Dandurand, on his knees in his solitary cell. According to the report, Dandurand was unresponsive and not breathing. He reportedly had a sheet tied around his neck. Dandurand had last been observed in his cell about 20-minutes prior to the discovery.
Deputies began life-saving resuscitation measures until emergency medical personnel responded and stabilized the inmate for transportation to Flagler Hospital in St Augustine.
At the time of his arrest, Dandurand was armed with a stolen rifle. He has been in custody since June 15, 2014, in lieu of $500,000 bail. He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, with disregard for the safety of persons or property, and aggravated stalking, following, harassing, or cyberstalking that poses a credible threat to another person.
