Karen Lundquist is asking all Historic City News readers to consider making your volunteer hours count — volunteers are needed and applications are being accepted at St Francis House, located at 70 Washington Street in St Augustine.
St. Francis House serves the homeless and less-fortunate in our community by providing critical emergency services such as shelter, food and clothing for individuals and families in their time of need.
St. Francis is the only fulltime emergency shelter between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.
Volunteer opportunities are available serving and assisting in the kitchen, sorting and processing donations, assembling and distributing food boxes, laundry, answering phones and helping with light maintenance and yard work.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Karen Lundquist by calling 904-829-8937, or request an application by e-mail at: klundquiststfrancisshelter@yahoo.com
