Letter: Inaccurate speculation about Medi MD
Bill McClure
Medi MD
St Johns County, FL
Dear Historic City News editor and readers:
Out of respect for the process, I cannot comment on the details of the events of last week.
I would like to apologize for the delay in getting back to everyone; however, I was on my way out of town when this unexpected situation took place.
I can tell you that I did have a chance to meet briefly with the Attorney General’s office on Thursday. We are cooperating fully and look forward to the outcome. I am not sure if this stems from a former employee, politics, or a call placed to the Office of the Attorney General a few months ago.
I can also address the social media speculation – Medi MD is not a pill mill nor has it ever been.
We handle primary care and community mental health cases and are licensed for both. We see patients for colds, coughs, depression, anxiety, and marriage counseling, as an example.
We have helped over 7,000 patients in and around St. Johns County and look forward to continuing to do so. The Plantation Island office and the Palencia walk-in clinic are expected to re-open Tuesday, October 21. Before your next visit, you can call (904) 224-5108 to verify that either location is open and able to assist you.
