While Historic City News reporters are reporting from the Lewis Auditorium on the Flagler College campus, located at 14 Granada Street in St Augustine, beginning at 5:00 p.m. this evening, The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, Flagler County Association of Realtors, and the Flagler Home Builders Association, are preparing for their own forum that begins at 6:00 p.m.
St Augustine and St Johns County candidates are anxious to make their pitch to a group of voters arranged by the St. Augustine Attractions Association, jointly with the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Hospitality Council, the Florida’s Historic Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Sponsors for the local event are Flagler College, Tour St. Augustine, the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse and the Fountain of Youth. If you plan to attend, the event is free and open to the public. Registration is requested. Visit the upcoming events page at http://www.sjcchamber.com.
Flagler County citizens are holding their forum at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 55 Town Center Boulevard in Palm Coast. Florida Senate District 6 Senator, John Thrasher, representing St. Augustine, and his Republican primary challenger, Derek Hankerson, are expected to appear.
Also expected to take part is Florida Representative Travis Hutson, an Elkton Republican, who finds himself unopposed for reelection this year.
