20th Annual Children’s Week

Students from Flagler Palm Coast High School traveled to Tallahassee to participate in the 20th Annual Children’s Week activities at the Florida Capitol.

Children’s Week provides a platform and brings together children’s advocates to deliver the message that every child in Florida must be healthy, ready to learn, and able to achieve their full potential.

Former Representative, now Senator, Travis Hutson greeted the students and told local Historic City News reporters, “I’m proud of their mission to advocate for water safety within the community so that our children are safeguarded against drowning.”

Hutson also took time to recognize the work done by another student from the district.

“I want to thank Ethan Griner for serving this week as a Page in the Florida House of Representatives,” Senator Hutson said. “It was a pleasure to be a sponsor to such a bright and intelligent young man.”
