State Attorney R. J. Larizza reported to Historic City News that his a 40-year-old Port Orange man, convicted in June of 55-counts of possessing child pornography, was sentenced today to begin serving 825 years in a Florida state prison facility; the maximum possible penalty.
DAVID ALLEN HALL, a registered sexual predator, posted some of the images on a social media website using an account that was associated with his email address. Investigators executed a search warrant on Hall’s home, finding the images on his computer. Hall admitted to investigators that he possessed some of the pictures. Hall was previously convicted of Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on a minor in 1996 and has been in state custody until his recent release in 2012.
“The defendant is a sexual menace who has preyed upon children as young as four years old,” Larizza told local reporters. “His penchant for sexual violence and his preference for young and defenseless children calls for the most severe punishment the law allows.”
Assistant State Attorney John Reid, of the State Attorney’s Office Career Criminal Unit, prosecuted the case. Seventh Circuit Judge Leah Case presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
