The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce is inviting all Historic City News readers to consider applying to attend the 2015-16 class of Leadership St. Johns.
Approximately 20 of St Johns brightest and most promising leaders will be surprised by their learning experiences in local business, education, government, law enforcement, healthcare, and social services during the program.
“The Leadership St. Johns program will open your eyes to the value of all of the integral moving parts that make St. Johns County what it is,” said 2015 graduate, Charlene Beymer.
The program is designed to introduce to each other the leaders, organizations and entities that impact our quality of life individually and collaboratively.
“It prepares you to be a more forward thinking leader and improves your understanding of the impact that important decisions can have on the community,” Beymer, who is employed by Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, said.
To participate and graduate from the program, candidates must complete an application process. Participants must adhere to an attendance requirement. Over nine months, participants will be required to attend the retreat and the majority of the subject specific program days.
“Leadership St. Johns has changed the way I think in my business and life,” said Michael Scine, of Scine & Scine, CPAs. “The exposure to various aspects of St. Johns County will stay with me for the rest of my professional life. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made in life and business. I’m very proud to be a part of this community and to have learned all about it.”
