Betty Griffin House Executive Director Joyce Mahr reported to Historic City News today that they have received a $10,000 grant from the Mazda Foundation to support the local Outreach Therapy Program.
Mahr told reporters that the funds will be used in four underserved areas within St. Johns County to provide confidential counseling services.
“Our outreach center will provide individual and group counseling in Hastings, St. Augustine, Julington Creek and Ponte Vedra,” Mahr told Historic City News. “Betty Griffin House is the only center in St. Johns County that has been providing free services to all victims of domestic and sexual abuse for the past 25 years.”
