Those Historic City News readers in St Augustine who may still have questions about what the city plans to do, and how their plans will impact your ability to move in-and-out of your neighborhood, or place of business, are cordially invited to participate in Tuesday’s Celebrate 450! community town hall.
As the final grains of sand slip quickly through the hourglass before the City’s 450th Commemoration, city staff has invited you to avail yourself of enlightened answers on a one-on-one basis through the panel assembled.
“The five-day long culminating event of St. Augustine’s 450th Commemoration is scheduled for September 4-8,” Director of Public Affairs, Paul Williams, informed local reporters.
If you plan to attend, the Town Hall meeting will be held at The Blackfly Restaurant, located at 108 Anastasia Boulevard, on Tuesday, July 14 at 5:30 p.m.
Julee Cooke, one of the City’s planners responsible for the town hall events, told Historic City News that gathering input from residents and merchants during these face to face sessions has been vital to ensuring the best outcome when the celebration is underway.
“The two previous town halls have been well attended with residents and business owners receiving answers to the many questions arising from the upcoming anniversary weekend,” Cooke said. “Basically, the town halls are a chance for you to ask questions to those who are actually managing the event.”
Many frequently asked questions are featured with answers at staugustine-450.com “It’s a great way to get answers to common questions, quickly and clearly,” Cooke told local reporters.
