Defining the next 15 years

As part of our 15-year anniversary celebration, we are formalizing new statements of our mission and vision for the future.

These few words guide us in our actions today and provide context for where we want to be tomorrow.

Many organization have a slogan that expresses their outlook on the field of their endeavor, and so do we.

Slogan:
There will never be a free nation without a free press.

In writing our mission statement, we tried to address four essential questions about Historic City News.

• What do we do?
• How do we do it?
• Whom do we do it for?
• What value are we bringing?

Mission:
To empower citizen journalists to freely report the truth.

Finally, we want our vision statement to express a broad view of how our company is going to leave an impact on readers and the greater community.

Vision:
Provide a platform that sustains journalistic education, investigation, and honest communication of news events.
