St Augustine Shrine Club reported to Historic City News that, under the sponsorship of The Conch House Marina Resort, more than 30 area restaurants will compete for top honors during the 31st Annual Great Chowder Debate from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the children who receive expert specialty care at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Tampa.
“We are very thankful to our sponsor, The Conch House Marina Resort for providing the facility and excellent logistic support,” event chairman, Dwight Wilkes, told local reporters. “We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the restaurants participating in this year’s Great Chowder Debate.”
Historic City News readers are invited to savor as much of the delicious chowder and favorite beverages as they can hold, and to debate which chowder is the best.
