Volkswagen of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 the dealership hosted “A Great Gatsby Affair”, raising over $7,000 for local non-profit organizations.
Over one hundred guests attended the event which included live award-winning jazz musicians, authentic 1920s vehicles, hors d’oeuvres provided by Café Atlantico and signature cocktails of the era.
“Since we opened our doors in December of 2013, Volkswagen of St. Augustine has been able to contribute nearly $100,000 to local charities,” owners, Joe & Sway DiFeo told Historic City News earlier today. “We have selected the St. Augustine Community School for Performing Arts and the St. Johns Cultural Council as beneficiaries of this, our second annual event.”
The DiFeos described the beneficiaries as active throughout St. Johns County; furthering visual, literary and performing arts for students, the elderly, and aspiring artists who may not otherwise have the ability to expand their creative outlets.
Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the two charitable organizations will be presented with their awards at the dealership.
