Work vehicle stolen from local hotel

A Tampa man reported his work truck was stolen overnight from the parking lot of the sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The Ford F-450 belongs to American Bridge, also of Tampa, and was being used to assist in performing crane work in St Johns County.

The victim has been driving the truck since 2006, according to a report filed by Deputy Brandon Allsup.

The estimated total value of toolboxes and tools, including several oxygen tanks bolted on the truck was nearly $100,000.

The victim recalled that the doors to the vehicle were locked upon leaving the truck and that he was the only person who he believed to have a key.
