St. Johns County Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth CFC, has a great Christmas gift idea for Historic City News readers. Hollingsworth suggests that you consider giving 2017 annual beach driving passes when they go on sale Monday, December 5th.
Passes are required to drive on the beaches during the 2017 season, March 1st through September 30th.
Beginning Monday, St. Johns County residents can purchase passes at the preseason rate of $30.00. Non-St. Johns County residents can purchase passes for $40.00. Passes for disabled persons, regardless of residency, are available for $20.00.
There is no fee for 100% disabled military veterans. Customers will be asked to provide proof of residency and disability status to receive the passes at the specified rates.
All fees increase by $10.00 March 2, 2017, at which time passes will no longer be available for purchase at the Tax Collector’s office.
For questions regarding the beach passes, please contact the St. Johns County Parks & Recreation Department, 904-209-0333. For more information about the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s office locations and hours of operation, please visit www.sjctax.us or call 904-209-2250.
