Four St Johns County men were arrested on outstanding drug sale warrants and a woman was arrested on child neglect charges Friday morning following service of a search warrant, Historic City News local reporters learned.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit along with members of the S.W.A.T. team executed the search warrant shortly after 8:00 a.m. Friday morning at the residence of 695 Duval Street in St Augustine.
Those arrested were identified as:
• Tonya Michelle Campbell, 43, 695 Duval St
• Jayshad Lavar Early, 19, 695 Duval St
• Jaquan Lamarc Early, 18, 695 Duval St
• Tyronton Daqwan Copeland, 18, 421 Aiken St
• Marcus Antwone Thomas, 21, 204 Woodlawn Rd
Detectives found unsanitary conditions in the residence, including faulty plumbing, faulty exposed wiring, garbage scattered throughout the house, as well as insects found within food products in the home. Campbell was found living in the squalor together with three minors. She was arrested on three counts of child neglect.
The search netted detectives with numerous items of property identified as stolen; including two firearms, handgun ammunition, electronics, jewelry and clothing.
Jayshad Early was arrested on an outstanding warrant for three counts of sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church and two counts of maintaining a drug dwelling with bonds totaling $350,000.
Jaquan Early was arrested on one count of sale or delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church with a $100,000 bond.
Copeland was charged with two counts of sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church with bonds totaling $200,000.
Thomas is charged with sale or delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church with bonds totaling $105,500.
Additional arrests and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
