Sheriff’s investigators informed Historic City News that two men in their late 20’s to mid-30’s helped themselves to four new flat panel television sets at Walmart Wednesday. Now, they are asking for your help in making an identification of the thieves.
The two men, dressed in black clothing, entered the store shortly before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday. The pair selected four flat screen televisions, loaded them into a shopping cart and walked to the front of the store.
One of the subjects was stopped by an employee who asked for a receipt. The subject gave that employee another receipt and continued out the door.
When the employee discovered the receipt was for a food item she went into the parking lot and observed the two get into a black Dodge pick-up truck.
The thieves drove away using the rear entrance onto Old Moultrie Road.
The pickup truck had a chrome tool box in the bed.
