Police believe another missing person has been found dead

The St Augustine Police Department called Historic City News reporters to a press conference this evening where it was revealed that human remains, believed to be 45-year-old St. Augustine resident Jordie Hudson, have been discovered in the 6000 Block of CR-208.

According to Chief of Police Loran Lueders, during a canvass of the downtown area, investigators determined that Hudson was last seen leaving the Giggling Gator on King Street at 2:45 a.m. on April 9th,

Law enforcement officers began a search of several locations in and around CR-208, after St. Augustine Police developed leads during interviews with 38-year-old John Harry Branson and 29-year-old Christeen Janelle-Linn Thomas.

The remains, which will be positively identified as early as tomorrow at autopsy, had been concealed underground at a nearby residence.

John Branson, who resides at 6890 CR-208, has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond in the St Johns County Detention Facility.

Christeen Thomas, who resides at 322 Orchis Road, has been charged with accessory to murder, felony fraud and five-counts of misdemeanor larceny. She is being held in lieu of $31,000 bond.

Investigators with the St. Augustine Police Department, along with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshal Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, and investigators from the State Attorney’s Office Homicide Investigation Unit have been searching for Hudson since she was first reported missing by her mother on April 14th.
