Historic City News readers are invited to participate in the upcoming General Election Candidate Forum presented by the Neighborhood Council of St. Augustine.

The first step is to collect questions from residents that, when answered, will help the audience better understand the qualifications and individual strengths of each candidate for the St Augustine City Commission.

Neighborhood Council member John Versaggi will be collecting your questions and forwarding them to the Forum Committee for consideration. To expedite the process and for your convenience, please e-mail your questions to john.versaggi@gmail.com not later than September 10, 2016.

The General Election Candidate Forum will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 at the Willie Galimore Center, located at 399 Riberia Street in St Augustine. Doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. and the moderator will begin questioning the candidates promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Invited to participate in the forum are:

  • City Commission Seat One: Roxanne Horvath and Ron Stafford
  • City Commission Seat Two: Leanna Freeman and Susan Rathbone
  • City Commission Seat Three (Mayor): Nancy Shaver and Kris Phillips
