Historic City News was informed by Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Kelshaw, that a Virginia man has been charged with careless driving after he ran a stop sign and careened into a St. Augustine South residence.
Kelshaw said that an E-911 call was received last night at about 7:45 p.m. reporting that a black Saturn sedan had just crashed through his front of the home located at 214 Arrowhead Road.
According to a report deputies arriving on the scene, 48 year-old William Atkins apparently ran the stop sign at Osage Street and Arrowhead Road before colliding into the occupied house.
Deputy Christina Dobbs told Historic City News that there were three people inside the residence at the time of the collision, however, there were no reported injuries. Her investigation is continuing.
