Beach closed to vehicles

As of 4:00 Monday afternoon, St. Johns County has closed the beaches to all vehicles due to inclement weather, high tides and extreme surf conditions.

The beaches are expected to remain closed to vehicles through Tuesday and perhaps periodically throughout the week.

Staff will continue to monitor conditions as more inclement weather is expected and will permit vehicles back on the beach when conditions are safe.
