In what is becoming to sound like a broken record, Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies reported to Historic City News that two men have been taken into custody in connection with today’s 5:00 p.m. armed robbery of the CVS Pharmacy on State Road 100 in Flagler Beach.
Deputies were dispatched to the pharmacy at 5:05 p.m. where a store clerk reported a man wearing a hoodie and dark glasses had demanded Oxycodone. The man, according to the clerk, displayed a handgun that was tucked in his waistband.
Ten minutes after responding to the call, deputies had two men in custody near the I-95 and Old Dixie Highway intersection. Deputies reported one of the suspects threw out the gun and 10 bottles of the prescription drug out of the window of the vehicle before being stopped. Sheriff’s K-9 units recovered all the discarded property.
The two men are being questioned and more information will be released as it becomes available.
