Historic City News has learned a stabbing that occurred late last night has left the victim at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville; where they refuse to give a condition report.
Deputy Sheriff Christina Dobbs reported that 61 year-old Ronald Paulos, who resides on Spencer Street in St. Augustine, is currently in custody under $250,000 bond following a stabbing incident last night.
Paulos was booked in the St. Johns County jail at 6:53 this morning charged with Aggravated Battery; a second degree felony.
The incident report alleges that the victim, 43 year-old Cheryl Walden was stabbed by Paulos who received a puncture wound to the left-front of her neck; with visible blood spurting from the puncture wound when Deputy Dobbs arrived.
The incident occurred last night at Shamrock Campgrounds on US 1 South and was reported just after 11:00 p.m.
According to a witness on the scene, Paulos was involved in an argument with Walden over a radio. The witness stated that she observed Paulos grab Walden by the throat and stab her in the neck.
When additional officers arrived on the scene, they located Paulos inside his RV at the campground and took him into custody.
The victim was transported to Flagler Hospital by Rescue personnel and airlifted to Shands Hospital in Jacksonville.
