September is a popular time for Historic City News readers to celebrate St. Augustine’s rich Spanish Heritage and this year a special “Days in Old Spain Fiesta” is planned with performing artists, authentic Colonial Spanish reenactments, contests, dancing and heritage games.
This three-day community Fiesta, presented by the Historic Florida Militia, will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday evening, September 16th with a ceremony that includes dignitaries and an appearance by the St. Augustine Royal Family.

Festivities continue each evening with dancing and living history demonstrations on the plaza between the Visitors Information Center and the Historic Downtown Parking Facility located at 11 West Castillo Drive and Orange Street in St. Augustine.
Friday evening, tickets will be required for the Fiesta Ball with demonstration dancing and shows. Saturday the Tiger Lee calendar-release party will also require tickets. Other events are free and open to the public.
