Karen Pan reported to Historic City news that St. Johns County is currently accepting applications for one vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Agency.
Applicants must be a registered voter in St. Johns County, and members must file financial disclosure. The application submission deadline is January 4, 2010.
The PZA is comprised of seven members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
The PZA serves as the County’s local planning agency, as outlined in Article VIII of the Land Development Code.
The PZA serves in an advisory capacity and recommending body to the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to zoning of land, amendment of land development regulations, land use amendments and major modifications to planned developments.
The PZA functions as the County’s Local Planning Agency per Chapter 163, Florida Statutes.
The Planning and Zoning Agency (PZA) meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm in the County Auditorium, located at 500 San Sebastian View in St. Augustine.
