Annual employee recognition at FSDB

During the Board of Trustees meeting Friday, the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind introduced Historic City News reporters to their school-related employee of the year and teachers of the year from the St Augustine school’s various departments.

Helen Washington was recognized from the Food Service department as the School-Related Employee of the Year.

Elisha Zuaro, in the Blind High School, received top recognition as Florida School for the Deaf and Blind’s Teacher of the Year.

The Board of Trustees also recognized as teachers of the year by department, Deaf Elementary School teacher Carey Roberts, Deaf Middle School teacher Donna O’Neill, Deaf High School teacher Lia Ferrante as well as Career Education and Transition High School teacher Monica Griffey, Physical Education teacher Lanya Roberts and Blind Elementery-Middle School teacher April Wallace.
