The Flagler Model Land Group Neighborhood Association has reported to Historic City News that they will hold a fundraiser for St. Augustine Youth Services on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
This special Child Abuse Prevention Month event will be held at The Bakery by Opus 39 Courtyard located at 39 1/2 Cordova Street in St. Augustine from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. The cost is $20 per person and seating space is limited.
St. Augustine Youth Services is located on Saragossa Street within the Flagler Model Land Group Neighborhood Association — which is bordered by King and Orange Streets and Cordova and U.S. 1.
St. Augustine Youth Services is a nonprofit organization providing services to boys from the age of six to 18 who are in need of residential therapeutic services due to abuse and or neglect.
Since its inception in 1988, St. Augustine Youth Services has been striving to meet the needs of these children and to provide optimal care.
It takes time, money, and love, to run these facilities and give these children the level of care and support that they deserve.
St. Augustine Youth Services receives funding from the Florida Department of Children and Families for basic services, but there is still a need for more. Donations will help make a significant difference in the lives of these boys.
Clothing (clean and gently used), household items, toys, activities and monetary gifts are always needed and greatly appreciated.
