FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK
Enjoy the latest exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 20 participating galleries – plus, great food courtesy of the St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association. Self-guided walking tours begin at Rembrandtz American Craft Gallery, 131 King Street. Galleries are open from 5 to 9 p.m. St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolleys offer attendees a complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. BIBLE STORY PAINTINGS
First Friday Art Walk will feature the opening of an exhibit called “Inspirations” at the St. Augustine Art Association, 22 Marine Street. The 12 paintings, each of which depicts a Biblical metaphor, were created by St. Augustine resident Don Trousdell who will be on hand to greet visitors from 5-9 p.m. These colorful paintings will be on display throughout the month of April. See Henry Flagler brought to life in this critically-acclaimed performance by Paul Jellinek. In Wild Dreams, Henry Flagler tells the story of his development of St. Augustine as a world class resort destination, his work with John D. Rockefeller, the expansion of his empire to the Keys – even the story of his three marriages. EASTER EGG COLORING AT RIPLEY’S
Free Easter Egg Coloring from noon to 3 p.m. at Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in St. Augustine. Kids bring their imaginations and Ripley’s supplies the rest including paper eggs, crayons, stickers, glitter and prizes for every kid who attends. KAYAKING AND DOLPHINS AT MARINELAND
Marineland, the University of Florida’s Whitney Lab and Ripple Effect Ecotours have partnered to offer ecological kayak tours of the estuary. Led by a professional guide, the kayak tours include panoramic views of Pellicer Creek, Princess Place Preserve, Faver-Dykes State Park, and the “real” Florida wilderness. Tours begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. No experience necessary – a paddling clinic begins each tour. The tours are suitable for ages 6 and above. ST AUGUSTINE EASTER PROMENADE
Participate in this annual event featuring locals and visitors alike promenading through the Plaza de la Constitucion in their Easter finery. 52nd ANNUAL EASTER PARADE
Enjoy the spectacle of marching bands, floats, drill teams, clowns, the Royal Family and the city’s carriage horses wearing hats donated by nationally- recognized women.
