Arrest in capital sexual battery

A 73-year-old St Augustine man is in custody this evening after St Johns County Sheriff’s detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest alleging capital sexual battery and second-degree felony charges of lewd and lascivious behavior against a child.

Woody Dee Rosborough, who resides at 2100 Laurel Drive in St Augustine was booked into the St Johns County Detention facility just after 2:00 p.m. this afternoon; where he remains without bail because of the capital felony charges.

Sheriff’s spokesperson, Sgt. Charles E. Mulligan, told Historic City News that due to the age of the victim of these sex crimes, some details will not be released; however, additional paperwork will not be complete until Monday and additional details may be available at that time.
