A fight over the use of a car yesterday afternoon ended up with a 75 year-old man being treated for a stab wound and his son being jailed on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Local Historic City News reporters were advised that Jonathan Daniel Bueltman told Flagler County deputies that he and his father, Gerald, began arguing around 1:00 p.m. in an apartment on Pine Lakes Parkway.
When the elder Bueltman refused to loan his son his vehicle, Jonathan became angry and went to the kitchen where he found a knife. He returned to his father’s bedroom and stabbed Gerald Bueltman in the stomach, according to a police statement.
Gerald Bueltman was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler by family members. He was treated Monday evening for the stab wound and released.
36 years-old and unemployed, Jonathan Bueltman, who is described as a slender, thin, slightly built white male, 5′ 8″, brown hair with missing teeth, fled the crime scene in his father’s vehicle.
Deputies located Bueltman at a home on Bear Trail in Flagler Beach and placed him under arrest. Bueltman was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility where he was being held in lieu of $25,000 bond today.
