Historic City News has been informed by Community Affairs Bureau Commander Charles E. Mulligan, that the search for Vermont Heights resident, Barbara Parchem, resumed this morning at 8:00 a.m. focused on a specific area in Flagler Estates.
Corporal Catherine Payne is on the scene near East Deep Creek Boulevard and Jonathan Street, Hastings, with the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center and law enforcement officials as the search intensifies.
The 67-year-old St Johns County woman unexpectedly failed to show up for her shift at the Village Inn on North Ponce de Leon Boulevard, where she has been a waitress for several years. She was last seen in the early evening hours on Friday, April 5th.
This has been the first announced search effort that has been identified with such precision; indicating that leads and evidence obtained over the past three weeks of the investigation have become actionable.
Parchem is a white female, 67 years old, 5’3” tall, 100 pounds with brown eyes, short brown hair with blonde highlights.
Her friends are offering a reward to anyone who has information leading to her whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 824-8304.
