Historic City News has been informed that the public is invited to attend a special meeting of the St. Johns County Civic Roundtable on Monday, August 11, starting at 9:00 a.m. in the County Auditorium.
The meeting will feature School Board Superintendent Joseph Joyner and County Commission Chairman Thomas Manuel.
The featured topic is how the School Board and Board of County Commissioners are cooperating to efficiently spend tax dollars and ways that citizens may become involved to address any deficiencies in funding.
This topic is particularly relevant given the increasingly challenging financial environment in which both organizations operate.
One or more members of the Board of County Commissioners or School Board may be in attendance, and the meeting, which is open to the public, will be broadcast live on St. Johns County Government Television – COMCAST Channel 3.
The County Auditorium is located at 4020 Lewis Speedway in St. Augustine.
