For the last three years, Historic City News sponsor, Romanza Festivale, has showcased St Augustine’s music, dance, theater, art, cuisine, heritage and romance; bringing headliners, street fairs, parades, concerts, plays, re-enactments, exhibits, lectures, and tours to perform and entertain residents and visitors at venues throughout the city.
Starting Valentine’s Day, February 14th, make reservations by visiting http://RomanzaFestivale.com to hear Gospel Grammy nominee, Troy Sneed, during his 2014 “All is Well” tour; live in St Augustine at Lewis Auditorium on the Flagler College campus, located at 14 Grenada Street. Tickets are $20 at the gate for the concert only.
“As a young man, Troy Sneed served as director of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Gospel Choir; and now, he is the owner and chief executive of two gospel recording labels,” Romanza Festivale president Albert Syeles told Historic City News. “He’s been on the Billboard charts since 2006 with three chart-topping singles within the last year.”
The main performance will be Saturday evening, May 17th, at 7:30 p.m., with a special performance during a gospel workshop being held from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. for local church choir members and other singers.
Sneed will coach those attending the afternoon gospel workshop; teaching three charts which will be performed by attendees and the artist at the evening concert. Reservations for the afternoon choir workshop may not be made online; instead, contact Kathleen Vandeberg by calling 904-808-1904. For individual singers, or small choirs, the cost is $18 per person. Choirs of 10 or more, pay only $15 per person – available in advance only.
