Historic City News has learned that former Early Learning Coalition chair and former Ponte Vedra Federated Republican Women’s Club president, Toni Crawford, has endorsed Kim Kendall, Republican, for St. Johns County Commissioner, District 2.
Toni Crawford is one of Florida’s leading advocates for children’s early learning and she works tirelessly to better the lives of children across Florida.
“I’m supporting Kim Kendall because I know she will work diligently for the citizens of St. John’s County,” Crawford told local Historic City News reporters. “She’ll strive for less government, more transparency, and try to lessen waste in the budget.”
Toni Crawford says she first joined forces with Kendall when, together, they raised funds and awareness of early learning programs for Florida’s children. Kendall chaired the American Eagle & Literacy Challenge, a statewide literacy initiative. Kendall serves as a board member on the Early Learning Coalition for North Florida, and has worked alongside Crawford in the past. With Crawford’s assistance, and Lt. Governor Toni Jennings serving as State Literacy Ambassador, Kendall was able to engage 150 of Florida’s elementary schools.
Kendall says that she is so appreciative to have the support of such a staunch advocate for children and their education.
“Toni Crawford is one in a million. No one fights harder for our children – and the difference she has made in so many lives is undeniable,” Kendall said when she was told of this endorsement. “I admire her greatly and do not take this endorsement lightly. Toni often says, “Learning for a child does not begin at age five – it starts immediately when they are born.”
The Republican Primary is August 26th, with early voting beginning August 15th. Even though Kendall resides in District 2, all St. Johns County residents vote in the County Commission elections. Kim J. Kendall is a Republican candidate for St Johns County Commission, District 2. She approved, and paid for this message. More information is available at VoteKimKendall.com.
