FDOT District Two Public Information Director, Gina Busscher, cautions Historic City News readers in St Johns County near Hastings, that daytime lane closures to take roadway samples are scheduled on SR-207 just west of SR-206 for 10 days beginning Tuesday.
The work area is the eastern and western approaches to the Deep Creek Bridge; east of Hastings and just west of the intersection with SR-206.
“One lane will be closed daily, in either direction, between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting,” Busscher told local reporters today. “This work is required prior to resurfacing of SR-207, between SR-206 and the Putnam County line, which is scheduled to begin in late 2015.”
The lane closures will allow a company hired by Florida Department of Transportation to perform ground penetrating radar and soil borings in each of the travel lanes.
