Historic City News local reporters will be on hand Monday when the first Frontier Airlines flight from Washington Dulles International Airport arrives at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St Augustine.
This is an important day for the community, since it marks commercial jet service into St Augustine from the second location on the Frontier map. Service has been available into Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing, New Jersey since May 2nd.
Frontier Airlines uses no travel agents. You book your own flight online at http://www.FlyFrontier.com and have a choice of two fare options – “Classic Plus” or “Economy”. Classic Plus is a fully refundable fare that includes amenities like no flight-change fees, a free carry-on bag, one free checked bag, and STRETCH seating.
Economy offers the lowest airfares, but the convenience of selecting a seat, or carrying a bag onboard, or a checked bag, require payment of an additional charge.
The airport’s executive director, Edward R. Wuellner, members of the Airport Authority, and other community officials including Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles, will be present to welcome passengers to the Historic Coast and to commemorate the inaugural flight.
The airport is located at:
4900 US Highway 1, North
St. Augustine, FL 32095
