Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare honored St. Johns County Assistant Administrator, Jerry Cameron, with a Community Leadership award this month for his role in integrating behavioral healthcare services into the County’s health care support system, according to an announcement received by Historic City News.
The organization recognized Cameron as a clear leader in the St. Johns County human services community and noted his passion and eloquence in his advocacy for the needs of those with behavioral illnesses.
Cameron was also recognized for diligently working to ensure that all St. Johns County residents have access to a complete system of health care and for his efforts to bring an Assertive Community Treatment team to St. Johns County.
Specific health care projects he was honored for helping bring to fruition include the new St. Johns County Detoxification Services Center and the new integrated St. Johns County Health and Human Services facility. Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare officials presented the award to Cameron during the organization’s Annual Meeting on October 15, 2014.
