St Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Vicky Oakes, reminds Historic City News readers that early voting for the April 7th Special General Election begins Saturday.
The Special General Election is open to all registered voters in St. Johns County.
“This is the Special Election called by Governor Rick Scott to fill vacancies in Florida Senate District 6 and Florida House Districts 17 and 24,” Oakes told local reporters.
- Senate Dist. 6 includes 4 Counties: Johns, Flagler, Putnam, and a part of Volusia
- FL House District 17 is St. Johns County only
- FL House District 24 is St. Johns, Flagler and a part of Volusia counties
Early voting Dates: March 28th – April 4th
(Includes 2 Saturdays, 1 Sunday and Good Friday)
Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily at all locations
There are six early voting locations throughout St. Johns County. Voters may cast their ballot at any of the locations, regardless of where they reside.

Remember – take current and valid photo and signature ID with you when you vote. If you do not have proper ID, you must vote a provisional ballot.
