The St Augustine Pride Festival announced to Historic City News that they will hold this year’s Pride Festival on September 25, 2010 at the St Augustine Amphitheatre located at 1340 A1A South.
The Festival doors will open at 3:00 p.m. with entertainment in the plaza area of the theatre.
The Celebration of the Parade of Flags will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Amphitheatre.
Legendary circuit DJ Bradford Lane will be spinning the hottest music throughout the entire event for your dancing pleasure.
The Miss St Augustine (Drag Queen) & Mr. St Augustine Pageant starts at 6:00 p.m. on the main stage of the Amphitheatre.
According to a quote on the organization’s website, “There will be a great line-up of entertainment and we anticipate a record number in attendance for 2010’s Pride Fest”.
Parade of Flags: We encourage all Organizations and Businesses to present their flags or business banners during this ceremony.
Pageants: Awards will include a $250.00 cash prize for each category. Miss St Augustine is a pageant for Drag Queens. Mr. St Augustine is a pageant for men who would like to represent St Augustine at the men events. Contestant entry forms and rules can be downloaded at www.AncientCityPride.org
OFFICIAL PRIDE FESTIVAL COUNTRY TEA DANCE: The following day after Pride will be a very special St. Augustine Tea Dance and all are invited to attend. This is a monthly Tea Dance hosted by DJ Bradford Lane and sister Victoria at Dancing With Victoria Ballroom, 4420 US1 South, St Augustine, FL, 32086. The event date is 09/26 from 4PM till 8PM. Featuring Country music, line dancing, square dancing, costume contest for prizes and much more. Break out your country wear and come down to this very special PRIDE edition event… We do have alot of FUN!
