Historic City News was informed by Karen Pan in the Office of Public Affairs, that several departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be re-locating during the next few weeks to the new County Administration Building.
Several departments will be in transition during next 3 weeks. Beginning on Monday, October 6, the following departments will be moving: Administration, Office of Management and Budget, Board of County Commissioners, Minutes and Records, Government Television, Personnel Services, Office of the County Attorney and Land Management.
Any member of the public who needs to access one of these departments between October 6 and October 24 is encouraged to call the department prior to arriving on campus. If someone needs immediate assistance, they may call County Administration at (904) 209-0530.
The official opening of the new Administration Building is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, with a ribbon cutting and public tours offered at 9:00 am, followed by a dedication during the first County Commission meeting in the new auditorium at 10:00 am.
The new Administration Building is located at 500 San Sebastian View, on the southern side of the main county complex. San Sebastian View is accessible from both Lewis Speedway and US Highway 1.
According to Pan, the old Administration Building will be converted into court space as part of the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center.
