Historic City News readers who suffered uninsured personal losses during Hurricane Matthew, and others whose needs meet the qualifications of other relief programs directed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, are cautioned to make their applications now.
To be considered, residences and businesses must apply for assistance in time to meet the agency’s December 16, 2016 deadline.
“Individual assistance can provide financial help or direct services to those with eligible expenses and serious needs that they are unable to meet through other means,” a St Johns County Emergency Management spokesman told local reporters today.
To apply for individual assistance:
- visit www.disasterassistance.gov before December 16, 2016
- call 800.621.3362 before December 16, 2016
- visit the Disaster Recovery Center before December 16, 2016
You may be able to speak with a trained FEMA employee in person and receive additional assistance with your application at the Disaster Recovery Center located at 3111 Agricultural Center Drive in St. Augustine.
