Jason L. Unger, Chairman of the Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission, reported to Historic City News this morning that the Commission recommended the following candidates to Governor Rick Scott for appointment to the Florida Supreme Court.
The vacancy on the state’s highest court was created by the resignation of Justice James E.C. Perry.
Recommendations included:
C. Alan Lawson
Daniel J. Gerber
Wendy W. Berger
Berger was a former judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit handling cases in St Johns County until she was appointed to her current seat on the Fifth District Court of Appeal.
The members of the Judicial Nominating Commission are:
