Historic City News readers who reside or own property in North Beach are advised that a project meeting has been called under the Neighborhood Bill of Rights Ordinance (No. 2007-01) regarding a St Johns County project scheduled for your area.
The Neighborhood Bill of Rights Ordinance affords registered Neighborhood Associations the right to request a meeting, at a reasonable time and location to allow members of one or more associations to ask questions or to voice concerns and make suggestions for the purpose of discussion and coordination with County staff for upcoming projects.
Nick M. Perpich, P.E., a St Johns County Public Works Engineer who is the contact for this project, reported that the construction involves an enclosed stormwater pipe system and swales along with catch basins to collect and convey runoff to the Intracoastal Waterway.
The affected area is in North Beach including 22nd Street, 23rd Street, Wahoo Drive, Laurel Street, Myrtle Street, and that portion of Palm Street between 22nd and 23rd streets.
Those interested in this project may attend the “open house” format meeting on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the North Shores Community Center, located at 120 Meadow Avenue in St Augustine or by calling 904-315-7770.
