City begins MLK sidewalk improvements

Beginning next week, Historic City News has learned that the City of St. Augustine Department of Public Works will commence sidewalk improvements along Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.

It is not anticipated that any road closure will occur, however, there will be interruptions in sidewalk use where the work is being performed.

Both repairs and new construction along the city right-of-way will occur.

“The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year,” said St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont.
