The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has alerted Historic City News local reporters that a search is underway for three men in connection with a home invasion that occurred early this morning in the Heritage Park subdivision off Woodlawn Road; north of SR-16.
Deputies responded to a report of a home invasion on Oak Arbor Circle this morning at 3:30 a.m.
The 69 year-old victim told deputies that the three unknown men entered the home by smashing a rear window. The three ransacked the home in search of money, but, the victim says no money was located or taken.
The victim was struck in the face with a rifle and sustained a laceration above his eye.
The robbers were wearing dark clothing with hoodies and bandanas covering their faces. It is believed that the attackers were two black males and one white male.
The investigation is continuing.
