In their regular business meeting last night, St. Augustine City Commissioners approved an expenditure of $28,000 for holiday bonuses to city workers.
City Manager John Regan noted the bonuses “are half what they were two years ago.”
Commissioners praised the consistent service of the City’s staff in approving the request.
The holiday bonus procedure is part of the city charter, and this year ranges from $25 for employees with less than a year’s service to a bonus of $200 for 30-year veterans.
