Everett H. Fifield, former deputy sheriff under L.O. Davis and Dudley Garrett in the ’60s and ’70s, passed away quietly in his sleep on December 24, 2010, at the age of 81.
He was a WW II veteran and had military rites performed at his graveside service in Council Bluffs, IA. His wife of 60 years, Patty Sisler Fifield, preceded him in death on September 27, 2010.
They both owned and operated Fifiled’s Amoco at Crescent Beach from 1961 to 1981.
Survivors include daughters Teresa Thompson and Linda Franklin and son Everett Fifield, III. He is also survived by half sister Leslie Gilley of Council Bluffs, IA, and step sister Jeannie Lewis of St. Augustine.
