James Costeira named St Augustine Fire Chief

St Augustine City Manager John Regan announced to Historic City News local reporters today that James “JC” Costeira has been appointed Fire Chief of the City of St Augustine. His appointment as fire chief is effective immediately.

Arrest made in aggravated abuse of 2-year-old girl

Public Information Officer, Commander Bob Weber, reported to Historic City News just before 1:00 a.m. this morning that Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 38-year-old Stanley Wykretowicz of Palm Coast on an arrest warrant charging him with aggravated child abuse and neglect of a child causing great bodily harm.

St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Vicky Oakes, informed Historic City News that she will offer a “Candidate Workshop” for voters interested in running for public office on Thursday, March 6, 2014 starting at 5:30 PM in the Elections Office training room at 4455 Avenue A, Suite #101 in St. Augustine.
